Located next door to the John and Lile Gibbons Center for Arctic Studies, the Mills Hall academic building houses two academic departments, a 60-person cinema classroom, four 40-60 flexible classrooms, twelve offices, huddle spaces for faculty and student collaboration, and a large event and catering space with a 300-person seated capacity.
The project marked the first time mass timber, a more sustainable building material, was used in Maine. ACE team was called in to complete all the painting and acoustic work for the wide-ranging project.
